Ridgefield CALM’s mission is to make our town a quieter, more peaceful, and healthier place for all our residents so that we might better enjoy our property, homes and the outdoors
New technology provides homeowners and landscape professionals with quieter and cleaner electric leaf blower options that can hold their own against the much noiser and dirtier gas-powered blowers
Our goal is to limit the use of gas-powered leaf blowers to the spring and fall cleanup seasons of the year. Electric leaf blowers are permitted year-round.

December 13th 2023 — The town hearing to discuss the proposed changes to the noise ordinance has been cancelled. Instead Ridgefield CALM will join a Ridgefield Town task force to address the issue of gas powered leaf blowers.
